COMMISSION
CRAFT PUNK SCULPT
No 1 and No 2
Kajsa Willner has completed two monumental pieces commissioned by The Office Group for the reception area of a new building at King’s Cross in London. The sculptures are crafted entirely by hand, using waste wood sourced from local carpenters, construction firms, and Danish flooring manufacturer Dinesen.
Guided by the unique properties of each discarded piece, Willner’s intuitive process transforms overlooked materials into works of art. Spray-painted in a custom ombre palette of deep burgundy fading into beige—colors designed in collaboration with the building’s architects—the sculptures are a testament to Willner’s ability to merge artistry, craftsmanship, and sustainability, reflecting Willner’s Craft Punk approach to contemporary design.
